Veteran Malayalam actor TP Madhavan passed away on Wednesday, October 9. He was 88. The actor, who was battling dementia, had been recovering in a hospital after undergoing surgery when his condition deteriorated, leading to his demise. He breathed his last in a hospital in Kollam.

Mohanlal has penned a heartfelt tribute to TP Madhavan, in a note shared on Facebook.
Mohanlal has collaborated with TP Madhavan in numerous films over the years, including 'Uyarangalil', 'Sarvakalashala', 'Moonnam Mura', 'Ulladakkam', 'Pingami', 'Agnidevan', 'Narasimham', 'Ayal Kadha Ezhuthukayanu', 'Nadodikkattu', 'Vietnam Colony', 'Natturajavu', and 'Twenty 20'.
Mohanlal recalled that TP Madhavan had always treated him with the warmth and affection of a father figure. In his note, Mohanlal said, “Beloved TP Madhavan, who excelled as a character actor in over 600 films for more than four decades, in the Malayalam film industry, has passed away.
