Strong audience interestAccording to early estimates from trade tracking portal Sacnilk, L2: Empuraan earned ₹9.00 crore on its first Tuesday, adding to its ₹70.15 crore five-day total. The film opened with a stellar ₹21 crore on its first day, making it the highest Malayalam opener of the year. While the collections saw the usual weekday drop, the numbers remained steady, indicating strong audience interest.
Breaking down the day-wise collections, L2: Empuraan recorded ₹11.1 crore on Friday, followed by a rise on Saturday and Sunday with ₹13.25 crore and ₹13.65 crore, respectively. Monday saw a slight dip to ₹11.15 crore, and Tuesday’s ₹9 crore early estimates still reflect solid retention at the box office.
The Malayalam version continues to be the primary driver of collections, contributing ₹10.4 crore on Monday and an estimated ₹9 crore on Tuesday. The Telugu version, while lower in numbers, has maintained a presence in key markets.
