Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's decision to divorce has been a topic of discussion, especially in light of recent comments made by Telangana Minister Konda Surekha. The couple, who announced their separation in 2021 after nearly four years of marriage, have faced various speculations regarding the reasons behind their split.
Both the actors have stated that the decision to part ways was mutual though they never announced the reason for the divorce. At the time of the divorce, there have been rumours suggesting third-party interference played a role in their relationship troubles. Some speculations led to believe that Samantha's bold roles in films and her glamorous image did not sit well with Naga Chaitanya's family.
Recently, Minister Konda Surekha claimed that BRS leader KT Rama Rao was involved in the couple's divorce, a statement that both actors forcefully denied as false and ridiculous.

Naga Chaitanya took to social media to firmly reject the minister's claims, calling them "absolutely ridiculous" and "unacceptable."
Samantha Ruth Prabhu also responded to Surekha's remarks, urging her to respect an individual's privacy and refrain from speculating about her personal life.

Following the controversy, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Naga Chaitanya's father has filed a defamation case against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha.
On the professional front, Naga Chaitanya is set to star in his upcoming film 'Thandel', where he will portray a fisherman. The movie is touted to release in December this year.
On the other hand, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be next seen on the highly anticipated series 'Citadel: Honey-Bunny', directed by Raj & DK, sharing screen space with Varun Dhawan. The series will be available to stream online from November 7, 2024.
