‘THE BEST PART ABOUT HOLI IS GETTING TO EAT GUJIYA AND DRINK THANDAI’
I always enjoy celebrating Holi with my family and friends. We eat together, hug, and dance on Holi, which is all about love, happiness, fun, and being mischievous. The best part about the festival is that we get to eat gujiya and drink thandai. I love all festivals, but this one is my favourite. There is a Hindi saying ‘Honi so Holi’ which means the past is the past, and we have to live in the moment and play Holi.

It’s great celebrating Holi in Chennai. I don’t know about other cities, but I I think water isn’t wasted a lot here. I celebrate Holi with very little water and organic colours. I especially tell people not to apply colours on animals as they can get allergies. It’s not good to abuse them like that.
On her favourite Holi memory…
My favourite childhood Holi memory is celebrating the festival with my dad’s friends and their kids. I remember all of them pushing me into a pool, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, too. I was a very naughty kid and used to throw eggs at people during Holi before running away. I stopped doing that as my parents educated me to not waste food.
