UPMSP schedules Class 12 practical re-exam for April 7-8
LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has scheduled a re-examination for Class 12 practical exams on April 7 and 8, 2025, providing a second chance for students who missed the initial sessions. This decision, announced on Friday, aims to ensure that all eligible students can complete their Intermediate practical assessments, a critical component of the UP Board’s Class 12 evaluation process.
The initial phase of the Class 12 practical exams for 2025 was conducted in two sessions earlier this year: the first from February 1 to 8, and the second from February 9 to 16. However, some students were unable to attend due to various reasons, prompting the board to organize this additional opportunity. According to an official notice from UPMSP, the re-examinations will take place under strict supervision, adhering to the same guidelines as the earlier sessions, including the use of CCTV cameras to ensure transparency and fairness. The exams will be administered by examiners appointed by the board’s regional offices.
“The practical examinations will be held on April 7 and 8, 2025, at the students’ respective schools if all candidates from a school missed the earlier exams,” the notice stated. This move reflects UPMSP’s commitment to accommodating students while maintaining the integrity of the examination process. Over 25.77 lakh students appeared for the Intermediate exams this year, with practicals forming an essential part of their final scores.
The announcement has been welcomed by students and parents alike, many of whom had expressed concerns about missed opportunities affecting academic outcomes. The UP Board, which concluded its Class 10 and 12 theory exams on March 12, is currently in the process of evaluating answer sheets, targeting a result declaration by late April. The re-examination schedule ensures that practical scores are finalized in time for the overall result compilation.
Students are advised to contact their schools for specific details regarding timings and procedures. With this initiative, UPMSP continues to uphold its reputation for flexibility and student-centric policies, ensuring no one is left behind in the 2025 academic cycle.
