The moment finally arrived, the most anticipated match of the night, the main event for the WWE Undisputed Championship between Cody Rhodes and
John Cena.
The Champ made a humble entrance—no flashy lights, no dramatic videos, just pure Cena. In contrast, Cody Rhodes, the reigning
WWE Undisputed Champion and "The American Nightmare," made his way to the ring with a spectacular entrance fitting the grand stage. With the crowd on their feet, the bell rang, kicking off the main event of Night 2 at WrestleMania 41.
John Cena is the new WWE Undisputed Champion
The match began with both Cena and Rhodes trading strikes, each trying to gain the upper hand. Cody landed the first few hits, but momentum soon shifted in Cena’s favor as he began to dominate with heavy blows and back-to-back clotheslines.
As the crowd rallied behind Rhodes, he found a second wind and launched a counterattack, landing a Cody Cutter, but Cena kicked out.
Cena then hit Cody with an Attitude Adjustment and went for the cover, but the champion kicked out once more. Not stopping there, Cena climbed the top turnbuckle and delivered a second AA from the top rope, yet again, Rhodes kicked out, stunning the WWE Universe.
Refusing to stay down, Cody climbed the ropes himself and delivered a Cody Cutter from the top, but Cena showed the same resilience and kicked out. The battle turned into a back-and-forth exchange of signature moves, each man refusing to be defeated.
At one point, the referee was accidentally knocked out, leading to chaos in the ring. Cena seized the opportunity, removing the turnbuckle pad and sending Rhodes crashing into the exposed steel before delivering a fourth Attitude Adjustment. Yet incredibly, Cody kicked out again!
Then came a shocking twist, rapper Travis Scott made his way to the ring, and the crowd were on the edge of their seats. However, his interference backfired as Cody struck him with a Cross Rhodes.
Just when it seemed like Cody had regained control, Cena delivered a low blow, followed by a brutal shot with the WWE title belt. With the referee back in position, Cena pinned Cody Rhodes for the three-count, securing his historic 17th World Championship and breaking Ric Flair’s record.
