UIDAI's face authentication pilot for NEET UG 2025: An explainer
UIDAI conducted a Proof of Concept in New Delhi for NEET UG 2025, testing Aadhaar-based face authentication. This initiative aims to verify candidates using real-time facial recognition matched against the Aadhaar database. The contactless process enhances hygiene and efficiency, promising enhanced security, faster verification, and nationwide scalability.

How it works
Real-time verification: Candidates' live facial images are captured at the exam centre.
Aadhaar database match: The captured image is matched against the candidate's photo in the Aadhaar database.
