Car drives into crowd in Germany's Stuttgart, several injured

Several people were injured after a car drove into the crowd in southwestern German city of Stuttgart, police said on Friday.
The driver involved in the incident has been arrested, according to a police spokesperson.
Stuttgart police reported on social media that the crash took place in the Olgaeck area, with a large police presence currently at the scene. They later confirmed that the operation remains ongoing and warned of major traffic disruptions in the city center.
Stuttgart’s fire department described the incident as a serious traffic accident with multiple casualties. “The area has been cordoned off and the injured are receiving treatment on-site,” it posted on X.
It later confirmed that several people were hurt in the crash, including individuals with serious injuries.
