Accident case filed against police driver

Panaji: Mapusa police has registered a case against a Goa police escort bus driver after his vehicle hit a two-wheeler while he was overtaking another vehicle on Monday.
Mapusa PI Nikhil Palekar said that a case was registered against the driver of the police bus, identified as assistant sub inspector S Naik.
Palekar added that at around 12.10pm in Mapusa, when the driver of the escort cell bus was overtaking a two-wheeler, it hit the two-wheeler. As a result the woman riding the two-wheeler fell on the road.
The injured woman was shifted to the North Goa district hospital and after the treatment, she was discharged from the hospital. No major injury was reported.
